Overview

The Data Analytics Coordinator is a data driven numbers expert with the determination to make their team successful. With an analytical mindset and passion for working with numbers, they directly support the Financial Analytics team in preparing reporting to deliver to production teams. The Data Analytics Coordinator reviews detailed information, analyzes data in terms of specific business goals, and displays findings in simple, meaningful, actionable formats consistent with our brand. They consistently look for creative ways to refine tools that will benefit our clients.

Responsibilities

ANALYTICS

  • Obtains claim and utilization data from carrier and/or third-party administrator in order to complete monthly and quarterly claim reports
  • Maintains a reporting schedule and tracking system to ensure that all client reports are being completed in a timely manner
  • Works with direction from the Data Analysts to develop and implement analytical tools
  • Aids in the implementation and maintenance of our claim analytic platform to new and existing clients
  • Prepares accurate and timely claim and utilization reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis
  • Creates customized benchmarking reports based on the client’s needs
  • Assists in creating total compensation statements
  • Demonstrates an understanding of utilization patterns, large claim impact analysis, trending and other analytic tools
  • Helps in aggregating data elements from various sources to calculate value creation across the employee benefits team
  • Assists marketing in keeping our internal and external facing websites up to date
  • Takes initiative to research and learn new projects

EXECUTION OF CLIENT SERVICES

  • Supports Account Managers, Producers, Account Executives and other internal department members to flawlessly execute MMA's service strategy for each client, designed to create measurable value and efficiencies in their businesses
  • Builds personalized client relationships through demonstrated understanding of the service plan and multiple channels of communication such as phone email and in-person meetings
  • Works with internal departments to ensure cohesiveness and timeliness of service execution
  • Manages time effectively to prioritize workload, client service requests and service parameters on business processes

PEER RELATIONSHIPS

  • Provides feedback and shares information at team meetings
  • Participates in ongoing scheduled meetings with service team to discuss accounts, renewals, analytics/data needs, service platform, etc.
  • Develops successful working relationships with Producers, Account Executives, Account Managers, service team members, managers, carriers and members of other departments
  • Communicates effectively with Analytics team and provides timely and complete information to allow them to effectively manage service execution

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Upon hire, Life/Health license, as appropriate for role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

PREFERRED

  • BS/BA in business, finance or related field
